Salt Town were contracted by LSET Property to deliver a comprehensive external refurbishment and improvement works at their new Self-Storage Centre in Winsford. The project transformed dated, dilapidated buildings into contemporary industrial warehouse units befitting the site’s new purpose.
The Winsford industrial estate site had fallen into a poor state of disrepair following its previous occupancy as a Travis Perkins builders’ merchant. The aging buildings lacked aesthetic appeal and were not suitable for LSET Property’s new usage as a modern self-storage facility.
LSET Property sought to undertake significant regeneration works to entirely transform the external facades and improve functionality. Taking inspiration from the sleek, contemporary style of Jaguar Land Rover dealerships, the client envisioned bringing a modern, eye-catching look to the previously outdated buildings.
Roofing Solutions
The tired existing roof was prepped with a deep biocidal wash to rejuvenate the surface before replacing all skylights. This improved watertightness and natural lighting.
Cladding Solutions
The main warehouse facade was fully overclad with insulated trapezoidal silver wall sheeting laid vertically. To the office areas, anthracite wavy sinusoidal cladding was installed horizontally for contrast. The adjacent smaller steel buildings received similar silver/anthracite cladding. Sleek, contemporary Trimline rain water goods finished the facades.
Internal Cladding Solutions
To improve lighting and continuity inside, partition walls were insulated and clad in fresh white trapezoidal sheeting with coordinating trims.
In just 3 intensive months, the dated, dilapidated site was transformed into a cluster of slick, eye-catching contemporary industrial units that align with the client’s aspirations and enhance the estate.
Externally, the silver and anthracite cladding and modern rain water goods create a cohesive, refreshed aesthetic, while improving structural integrity and longevity. Internally, the fresh white cladding brightens the space. Our comprehensive regeneration works added significant value and delivered the client’s vision for a modern industrial complex.
